Abstract

Muhammad Abduh was a 19th-century reformer whose ideas for reforming Islam were very good in many ways. After experiencing a setback, Abduh succeeded in reviving the fighting spirit of the Muslim community and made significant progress in the field of knowledge. Muhammad Abdu began to develop through education. Let education be the main sector to save Egyptian society. The principle is to enhance education in order to cultivate devout Muslims. Muhammad Abduh's education aimed to nurture the mind and soul and to develop students to the extent of achieving happiness in both this world and the hereafter. Regarding the curriculum, Muhammad Abduh seems to want the Islamic curriculum to be an integral part of all levels of education, in line with the goals of education. To address the weaknesses of the teaching methods that emerged at that time, Muhammad Abduh employed various approaches.
