Abstract

Islamic religious education is an important part of learning that emphasizes spiritual values and relationships with God, based on the teachings of the Quran and Hadith. The implementation of PAI aims to shape students' Islamic character. An article discusses how an Islamic Education Teacher influences the development of students' Islamic character at school, especially at Mts Darul Ikhlas. The research used qualitative methods through documentation, interviews, and observations. The research shows that PAI teachers have an important responsibility in providing an understanding of moral and spiritual values to students. They also serve as good examples in the application of these values in daily life. In addition, PAI teachers also need to use creative and interactive learning approaches to raise students' level of understanding of Islamic teachings and encourage them to internalize these values in their behavior. This research leads to the conclusion that Islamic Religious Education teachers play an important role in fostering students' character and morals. Thus, their role is not only limited to the classroom, but also penetrates into the formation of student character and attitudes outside the school environment.
